Outrageous Statements
Outrageous
statements are often used for self-marketing and
personal branding purposes.
For example,
Donald Trump, who claims to have the world's
most powerful personal brand, regularly makes
outrageous statements.
Here's another
example. At the 2026 Olympic Games, some
Ukrainian athletes, largely unremarkable in
sports, managed to gain visibility thanks to
outrageous statements. Some of them, by
decorating their uniforms with prohibited
elements, succeeded in having them disqualified
from the competition. Afterward, they publicly
made outrageous statements claiming to be
victims of a violation of their freedom of
expression. |
