award. Fortunately, critical
thinking helped us to challenge
this assumption while an
analysis of the list of
individual laureates helped us
realize that the Nobel Peace
Prize is more about encouraging
conflicts than nourishing true
peace.

nurturing peace on Earth. Named
after the inventor of dynamite,
the Nobel Peace Prize decided to
act like dynamite. It tends to
go to rebels to inspire fight,
not peace.
The intentions of the Nobel
Peace Prize Committee members
might be good, but the problem
is that, like that bird, they
apparently believe that their
cultural values are the best and
try impose their cultural values
to other cultures. How wrong
they are! By doing so, they
nourish conflicts, not peace. As
Rabindranat Tagore put it, "The
bird thinks it is an act of
kindness to give the fish a lift
in the air."
