charismatic
entrepreneurial leader, Jack Ma, the founder of Alibaba, started the company with 18 friends out of
his small apartment in 1999, in Hangzhou. Within few years, Alibaba grew into
the largest Chinese e-commerce
company. Alibaba set a record in 2014 when it posted an initial public offering
that raised $21.8 billion on the New York Stock Exchange. It was the largest
offering so far to happen to a U.S.-listed company.
