Using Fear as a
Motivator
You can use fear to
enhance performance of
your employees. Human
beings will do their
best to avoid an
intensely painful
situation. A fear to
lose something big can
motivate your employees
to achieve your business
goals and avoid the pain
of regret. Unite your
employees around a quest
to conquer an external
enemy, not an internal
one. A fierce
competition or an
economic recession are
examples of such
external enemies.

Getting
the best out of workers is a product of
inspirational
super-leadership as well as
managers' love quotient (LQ),
and
soft skills. Employees respond in a most productive way when the are treated
with respect, trusted, inspired, challenged and empowered to do
their best work. The task of a manager is to support employees and to
provide them with resources and guidance in order to help them to make
their
exceptional employee performance a reality. |

The one-on-one relationships that individual
workers have with their managers, and the
trust, respect, and consideration that their managers show toward them
on a daily basis are also at the core of an energized workforce...
More
"Joy,
love and appreciation are powerful
motivators. They are feelings that humans experience around the
heart. Joy is a feeling of pleasure or delight that arises from the
heart. Positive feelings are what make life worth living." ~ Deborah Rozman
