The Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship provides programming around innovation, education, venture creation and making connections to support university entrepreneurs and the local startup community.

The Director, Student Entrepreneurship is responsible for all aspects of the strategy, design, implementation and assessment of University's wide array of programs in support of student entrepreneurship.

Supports the Office of Entrepreneurship's mission of innovation, education, venture creation, and connections for student entrepreneurship.

Sets strategy, designs and directs initiatives to engage and support undergraduate and graduate students in entrepreneurial activities at all university schools through the New Venture Competition, Summer Startup Accelerator, Innovation Exchange, and other student entrepreneurship programs.

Specifies calendar, submission and evaluation criteria, and acts as the representative and decision maker for the competition.

Raises funds annually in cooperation with the Department of Development and Alumni Relations from internal and external cash and in-kind sponsors, including University's 10 Schools and Colleges, corporations, foundations, and individuals.

Annual fund raising target exceeds $300,000.

Recruits, instructs, manages and evaluates volunteer mentors and judges (currently over 100) as well as data system for evaluation of submissions (consistently over 100).
